Learn how to impress your friends, and wow your relatives with your cool air hockey tricks!
In this video, TereTere21, aka Sven Olters, shows a few air hockey trick shots (and a few miscues) on his air hockey table at home. Although he does not use a full size arcade style air hockey table, with a bit of practice, you can learn all of these tricks on your air hockey table, whatever the size or dimensions. Remember, practice makes perfect!:
Simultaneous Goal Scores
In the first trick, Olters puts 2 air hockey pucks on the so-called ‘blue line’ about halfway between the goal and the center line on one side of the table. Then, he strikes puck A at nearly a 90 degree angle with his air hockey mallet. Puck A hits puck B right off the wall (on the short side of the table) right into the goal. Meanwhile, after striking puck B, puck A continues toward the wall on the long side of the table, and goes right into the opposite goal! It sounds complicated, but Olters makes it look easy, and with a lot of practice, it will be easy for you, too!
Clone Puck Score
In the second trick, Olters puts puck A right on top of puck B, and places them on the blue line. Then, with one strike of the mallet, the pucks separate, hit near the goal, and then come back all the way down and score on the goal he was ‘defending’!
Other Air Hockey Tricks
He shows a few other tricks, including scoring around an obstacle with a bank shot. There’s a lot packed into this two and a half minute video, so watch it a few times, and then try it yourself They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, a video is worth a million words, but let's skip those words and watch the video. Remember, practice really does make perfect!
